A tree is a perennial woody plant. It is most often defined as a woody plant that has many Primary and |Secondary branches and Sub Branches powering openly of the Earth on a single main stem or trunk with open apical dominance. A minimum height at maturity by some authors, may be from 3 m to 6 m; some authors wrote a minimum of 10 cm trunk diameter (30 cm girth). plants of wood that do not meet these definitions by having multiple stems or small size are usually called shrubs, although many trees such as mallee do not meet such definitions.. Compared with most other plants, trees are long-lived, some reaching several thousand years old and growing to up to 115 m (379 ft) high
